TK Toolrom Trust designs and manufactures tools and fabricates special-purpose machinery for the sheetmetal stamping industry. We wanted to be able to test a design for a clear understanding of it in order to iron out all possible problems before manufacture.
La soluzione
The learning curve is far shorter in SolidwWorks CAD software. The parametric nature of SolidWorks is paramount to us because of the inevitable changes between conceptual and final design. The best design is normally one that has at least ten changes done to it. We also use the core and cavity features for plastic mold design and need the sheetmetal capabilities because we have a sister company,TK Manufacturing, which makes metal stampings.
